You have given me your protecting shield, and your help has made me great.

Of David. Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for battle, my fingers for war;

Show your wonderful mercy, you who deliver with your right arm those who seek refuge from their foes.

The Lord is my strength and my shield, in whom my heart trusts. I am helped, so my heart rejoices; with my song I praise him.

Then all who trust in you will be glad and forever shout for joy. You will protect them and those will rejoice in you who love your name.

All your leaders fled away together, they were captured without use of bow; All who were found were captured together, though they had fled afar off.

Like a shepherd he feeds his flock; in his arms he gathers the lambs, Carrying them in his bosom, leading the ewes with care.
