My friends it is who wrong me; before God my eyes shed tears,

Turn away from me the taunts I dread, for your judgments are good.

Let me answer my taunters with a word, for I trust in your word.

Trust in the Lord and do good that you may dwell in the land and live secure.

And make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like noonday.

And now, Lord, for what do I wait? You are my only hope.
