May stumble, but he will never fall, for the Lord holds his hand.

Like a herd of sheep they will be put into Sheol, and Death will shepherd them. Straight to the grave they descend, where their form will waste away, Sheol will be their palace.

I have made vows to you, God; with offerings I will fulfill them,

Your mercy to me is great; you have rescued me from the depths of Sheol.

When I say, “My foot is slipping,” your mercy, Lord, holds me up.
