Do not reprove the arrogant, lest they hate you; reprove the wise, and they will love you.

The wise by hearing them will advance in learning, the intelligent will gain sound guidance,

A wise heart accepts commands, but a babbling fool will be overthrown.

A wise son loves correction, but the scoffer heeds no rebuke.

Poverty and shame befall those who let go of discipline, but those who hold on to reproof receive honor.

Scoffers do not love reproof; to the wise they will not go.

Beat a scoffer and the naive learn a lesson; rebuke the intelligent and they gain knowledge.

Buy truth and do not sell: wisdom, instruction, understanding!

Do not speak in the hearing of fools; they will despise the wisdom of your words.

Whoever rebukes another wins more favor than one who flatters with the tongue.

Those stiff-necked in the face of reproof in an instant will be shattered beyond cure.

But they remained silent and did not answer at all, for the king’s command was, “Do not answer him.”

You shall not hate any of your kindred in your heart. Reprove your neighbor openly so that you do not incur sin because of that person.

Let them alone; they are blind guides (of the blind). If a blind person leads a blind person, both will fall into a pit.”
