Little do they know that the shades are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol!
The gods neither know nor understand, wandering about in darkness, and all the world’s foundations shake.
For the straying of the naive kills them, the smugness of fools destroys them.
Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Her feet go down to death, her steps reach Sheol;
For the price of a harlot may be scarcely a loaf of bread, But a married woman is a trap for your precious life.
For many are those she has struck down dead, numerous, those she has slain.
Her house is a highway to Sheol, leading down into the chambers of death.
They deliberately ignore the fact that the heavens existed of old and earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God;
