If iniquity is in your hand, remove it, and do not let injustice dwell in your tent,

Keep your tongue from evil, your lips from speaking lies.

The lips of the just know favor, but the mouth of the wicked, perversion.

The perverse in heart come to no good, and the double-tongued fall into trouble.

Better to be poor and walk in integrity than rich and crooked in one’s ways.

Let your eyes look straight ahead and your gaze be focused forward.

Scoundrels, villains, are they who deal in crooked talk.

If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, his religion is vain.

Rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, insincerity, envy, and all slander;
