Fools take no delight in understanding, but only in displaying what they think.

“How long, you naive ones, will you love naivete,

Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

The shrewd conceal knowledge, but the hearts of fools proclaim folly.

The shrewd always act prudently but the foolish parade folly.

Of what use is money in the hands of fools when they have no heart to acquire wisdom?

With wickedness comes contempt, and with disgrace, scorn.

Even when walking in the street the fool, lacking understanding, calls everyone a fool.

Thereupon the whole town came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him they begged him to leave their district.

So with yourselves: since you strive eagerly for spirits, seek to have an abundance of them for building up the church. Need for Interpretation.

Now in regard to meat sacrificed to idols: we realize that “all of us have knowledge”; knowledge inflates with pride, but love builds up.

Of course, some preach Christ from envy and rivalry, others from good will.
