Down the crowded ways she calls out, at the city gates she utters her words:
Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the open squares she raises her voice;
“How long, you naive ones, will you love naivete,
Does not Wisdom call, and Understanding raise her voice?
By the gates at the approaches of the city, in the entryways she cries aloud:
She has sent out her maidservants; she calls from the heights out over the city:
What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.
Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood along the shore.
Jesus answered him, “I have spoken publicly to the world. I have always taught in a synagogue or in the temple area where all the Jews gather, and in secret I have said nothing.
“Go and take your place in the temple area, and tell the people everything about this life.”
