I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles, in opposition to the teaching that you learned; avoid them.

Do not grumble as some of them did, and suffered death by the destroyer.

For I fear that when I come I may find you not such as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish; that there may be rivalry, jealousy, fury, selfishness, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder.

But if you go on biting and devouring one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another.

Let us not be conceited, provoking one another, envious of one another.

Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves,

and to show esteem for them with special love on account of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

See that no one returns evil for evil; rather, always seek what is good [both] for each other and for all.

Strive for peace with everyone, and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

for the wrath of a man does not accomplish the righteousness of God.

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.

Do not complain, brothers, about one another, that you may not be judged. Behold, the Judge is standing before the gates.

must turn from evil and do good, seek peace and follow after it.

Be hospitable to one another without complaining.

These people are complainers, disgruntled ones who live by their desires; their mouths utter bombast as they fawn over people to gain advantage. Exhortations.
