On the third day Abraham caught sight of the place from a distance.

You must not keep any of it beyond the morning; whatever is left over in the morning must be burned up.

and be ready for the third day; for on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

But the meat and hide and dung of the bull you must burn up outside the camp, since this is a purification offering.

If some of the meat of the installation sacrifice or some of the bread remains over on the next day, this remnant you must burn up; it is not to be eaten, since it is sacred.

He will revive us after two days; on the third day he will raise us up, to live in his presence.

Moses inquired closely about the goat of the purification offering and discovered that it had all been burned. So he was angry with the surviving sons of Aaron, Eleazar and Ithamar, and said,

It must be eaten on the day of your sacrifice or on the following day. Whatever is left over until the third day shall be burned in fire.

If any of it is eaten on the third day, it will be a desecrated offering and not be accepted;

that he was buried; that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures;
