Then Jacob tore his garments, put sackcloth on his loins, and mourned his son many days.

As David went up the ascent of the Mount of Olives, he wept without ceasing. His head was covered, and he was walking barefoot. All those who were with him also had their heads covered and were weeping as they went.

Then Job arose and tore his cloak and cut off his hair. He fell to the ground and worshiped.

Like fine oil on the head, running down upon the beard, Upon the beard of Aaron, upon the collar of his robe.

Then take the anointing oil and pour it on his head, and anoint him.

Groan, moan for the dead, but make no public lament; bind on your turban, put your sandals on your feet, but do not cover your beard or eat the bread of mourners.

The garments of one afflicted with a scaly infection shall be rent and the hair disheveled, and the mustache covered. The individual shall cry out, “Unclean, unclean!”

This atonement is to be made by the priest who has been anointed and ordained to the priesthood in succession to his father. He shall wear the linen garments, the sacred vestments,

If it is the anointed priest who thus does wrong and thereby makes the people guilty, he shall offer to the Lord an unblemished bull of the herd as a purification offering for the wrong he committed.

He also poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him, to consecrate him.

The community will deliver the homicide from the avenger of blood and the community will return the homicide to the city of asylum where the latter had fled; and the individual will stay there until the death of the high priest who has been anointed with sacred oil.

Not even for their father or mother, sister or brother, should they defile themselves, when these die, since their heads bear their dedication to God.

Then the high priest tore his robes and said, “He has blasphemed! What further need have we of witnesses? You have now heard the blasphemy;
