Now, our God, great, mighty, and awesome God, who preserves the covenant of mercy, do not discount all the hardship that has befallen us, Our kings, our princes, our priests, our prophets, our ancestors, and your entire people, from the time of the kings of Assyria until this day!

Remember that my life is like the wind; my eye will not see happiness again.

A song of ascents. Remember, O Lord, for David all his hardships;

How long, Lord? Will you hide forever? Must your wrath smolder like fire?

Where are your former mercies, Lord, that you swore to David in your faithfulness?
