A slave does not remain in a household forever, but a son always remains.
so she demanded of Abraham: “Drive out that slave and her son! No son of that slave is going to share the inheritance with my son Isaac!”
But if he makes a gift of part of his heritage to one of his servants, it belongs to him until the year of release; then it reverts to the prince. Only the heritage given to his sons belongs to him.
He said to him, ‘My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours.
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
but he, because he remains forever, has a priesthood that does not pass away.
