He spoke these words while teaching in the treasury in the temple area. But no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come. Jesus, the Father’s Ambassador.

At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me? Day after day I sat teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me.

The chief priests gathered up the money, but said, “It is not lawful to deposit this in the temple treasury, for it is the price of blood.”

He sat down opposite the treasury and observed how the crowd put money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums.

Calling his disciples to himself, he said to them, “Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury.

The scribes and chief priests sought to lay their hands on him at that very hour, but they feared the people, for they knew that he had addressed this parable to them. Paying Taxes to the Emperor.

When he looked up he saw some wealthy people putting their offerings into the treasury

[Then] they tried again to arrest him; but he escaped from their power.

[And] Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.”

When the feast was already half over, Jesus went up into the temple area and began to teach.

So they tried to arrest him, but no one laid a hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.

Some of them even wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.

You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, because my time has not yet been fulfilled.”

But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area, and all the people started coming to him, and he sat down and taught them.

So they picked up stones to throw at him; but Jesus hid and went out of the temple area.
