So Thomas, called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go to die with him.”

Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?”

Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee’s sons, and two others of his disciples.

Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you twelve? Yet is not one of you a devil?”

He was referring to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot; it was he who would betray him, one of the Twelve.

We should not stay away from our assembly, as is the custom of some, but encourage one another, and this all the more as you see the day drawing near.
