John 19:20

Now many of the Jews read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek.

Above him there was an inscription that read, “This is the King of the Jews.”

When Pilate heard these words he brought Jesus out and seated him on the judge’s bench in the place called Stone Pavement, in Hebrew, Gabbatha.

So they laid Jesus there because of the Jewish preparation day; for the tomb was close by.

Now there is in Jerusalem at the Sheep [Gate] a pool called in Hebrew Bethesda, with five porticoes.

Just as Paul was about to be taken into the compound, he said to the cohort commander, “May I say something to you?” He replied, “Do you speak Greek?

When he had given his permission, Paul stood on the steps and motioned with his hand to the people; and when all was quiet he addressed them in Hebrew.

When they heard him addressing them in Hebrew they became all the more quiet. And he continued,

We all fell to the ground and I heard a voice saying to me in Hebrew, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goad.’

Therefore, Jesus also suffered outside the gate, to consecrate the people by his own blood.

They then assembled the kings in the place that is named Armageddon in Hebrew.

They had as their king the angel of the abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek Apollyon.
