When Pilate heard these words he brought Jesus out and seated him on the judge’s bench in the place called Stone Pavement, in Hebrew, Gabbatha.

Fear of others becomes a snare, but the one who trusts in the Lord is safe.

But profitable for a land in such circumstances is a king concerned about cultivation.

Now when Pilate heard this statement, he became even more afraid,

Now there is in Jerusalem at the Sheep [Gate] a pool called in Hebrew Bethesda, with five porticoes.

Peter and John, however, said to them in reply, “Whether it is right in the sight of God for us to obey you rather than God, you be the judges.
