Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one with whom I am pleased. Upon him I have put my spirit; he shall bring forth justice to the nations.

The scepter shall never depart from Judah, or the mace from between his feet, Until tribute comes to him, and he receives the people’s obedience.

That he may defend the oppressed among the people, save the children of the poor and crush the oppressor.

I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my servant:

He shall judge between the nations, and set terms for many peoples. They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; One nation shall not raise the sword against another, nor shall they train for war again.

He will not cry out, nor shout, nor make his voice heard in the street.

You are my witnesses—oracle of the Lord— my servant whom I have chosen To know and believe in me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, and after me there shall be none.

Who among you fears the Lord, heeds his servant’s voice? Whoever walk in darkness, without any light, Yet trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon their God!

Because of his anguish he shall see the light; because of his knowledge he shall be content; My servant, the just one, shall justify the many, their iniquity he shall bear.
