For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his treasured possession.

For the Lord will not forsake his people, nor abandon his inheritance.

On that day, The Lord shall again take it in hand to reclaim the remnant of his people that is left from Assyria and Egypt, Pathros, Ethiopia, and Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the isles of the sea.

But the Lord will take pity on Jacob and again choose Israel, and will settle them on their own land; foreigners will join them and attach themselves to the house of Jacob.

Who has stirred up from the East the champion of justice, and summoned him to be his attendant? To him he delivers nations and subdues kings; With his sword he reduces them to dust, with his bow, to driven straw.

But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, offspring of Abraham my friend—

Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one with whom I am pleased. Upon him I have put my spirit; he shall bring forth justice to the nations.

Hear then, Jacob, my servant, Israel, whom I have chosen.

For the sake of Jacob, my servant, of Israel my chosen one, I have called you by name, giving you a title, though you do not know me.

I love you, says the Lord; but you say, “How do you love us?”

And people will come from the east and the west and from the north and the south and will recline at table in the kingdom of God.

For you are a people holy to the Lord, your God; the Lord, your God, has chosen you from all the peoples on the face of the earth to be a people specially his own. Clean and Unclean Animals.

Listen, my beloved brothers. Did not God choose those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him?

They sang a new hymn: “Worthy are you to receive the scroll and to break open its seals, for you were slain and with your blood you purchased for God those from every tribe and tongue, people and nation.

For the sake of his own great name the Lord will not abandon his people, since the Lord has decided to make you his people.
