The Lord was bent on destroying the wall of daughter Zion: He stretched out the measuring line; did not hesitate to devour, Brought grief on rampart and wall till both succumbed.

Inhabited cities shall be in ruins, the land a desolate place. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. Prophecy Ridiculed.

All the princes of the sea will step down from their thrones, Lay aside their robes, and strip off their embroidered garments. Clothed in mourning, they will sit on the ground And tremble, horror-struck and appalled at you.

For her wound is incurable; it has come even to Judah. It has reached to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
