From the end of the earth we hear songs: “Splendor to the Just One!” But I said, “I am wasted, wasted away. Woe is me! The traitors betray; with treachery have the traitors betrayed!

So he gave them what they asked and sent a wasting disease against them.

I view the faithless with loathing because they do not heed your promise.

Ask it of me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and, as your possession, the ends of the earth.

Suddenly, like brambles or thistles, have the whirlwind snatch them away.

You still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples.

On that day the Lord of hosts will be a glorious crown And a brilliant diadem for the remnant of his people,

Ah! You destroyer never destroyed, betrayer never betrayed! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed; when you have stopped betraying, you will be betrayed.

Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth: Let the sea and what fills it resound, the coastlands, and those who dwell in them.
