Jacob, however, got some fresh shoots of poplar, almond and plane trees, and he peeled white stripes in them by laying bare the white core of the shoots.

Then he put a three days’ journey between himself and Jacob, while Jacob was pasturing the rest of Laban’s flock.

The word of the Lord came to me: What do you see, Jeremiah? “I see a branch of the almond tree,” I replied.

In the garden of God, no cedars could rival it, No juniper could equal its branches, no plane tree match its boughs. No tree in the garden of God could match its beauty.
