Moses, however, said to the Lord, “If you please, my Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor now that you have spoken to your servant; but I am slow of speech and tongue.”

No doubt you are the people with whom wisdom shall die!

But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

“But,” objected Moses, “suppose they do not believe me or listen to me? For they may say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you.’”

However, Moses protested to the Lord, “If the Israelites did not listen to me, how is it possible that Pharaoh will listen to me, poor speaker that I am!”

But Moses protested to the Lord, “Since I am a poor speaker, how is it possible that Pharaoh will listen to me?”

“Ah, Lord God!” I said, “I do not know how to speak. I am too young!”

I brought you up from the land of Egypt, from the place of slavery I ransomed you; And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Moses was educated [in] all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in his words and deeds.

For someone will say, “His letters are severe and forceful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.”

Even if I am untrained in speaking, I am not so in knowledge; in every way we have made this plain to you in all things.
