So Abram said to Lot: “Let there be no strife between you and me, or between your herders and my herders, for we are kindred.

They replied, “Stand back! This man,” they said, “came here as a resident alien, and now he dares to give orders! We will treat you worse than them!” With that, they pressed hard against Lot, moving in closer to break down the door.

Now as for those enemies of mine who did not want me as their king, bring them here and slay them before me.’” The Entry into Jerusalem.

This Moses, whom they had rejected with the words, ‘Who appointed you ruler and judge?’ God sent as [both] ruler and deliverer, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s fury, for he persevered as if seeing the one who is invisible.
