Who is this king of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in war.

You are the most handsome of men; fair speech has graced your lips, for God has blessed you forever.

Let them be ashamed and terrified forever; let them perish in disgrace.

The Lord will fight for you; you have only to keep still.”

and he so clogged their chariot wheels that they could drive only with difficulty. With that the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from Israel, because the Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.”

“But,” said Moses to God, “if I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what do I tell them?”

God replied to Moses: I am who I am. Then he added: This is what you will tell the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you.

God spoke further to Moses: This is what you will say to the Israelites: The Lord, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my name forever; this is my title for all generations.

The Lord goes forth like a warrior, like a man of war he stirs up his fury; He shouts out his battle cry, against his enemies he shows his might:

I am the Lord, Lord is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to idols.

Thus says the Lord who made the earth, giving it shape and stability, Lord is his name:
