So now, return the man’s wife so that he may intercede for you, since he is a prophet, that you may live. If you do not return her, you can be sure that you and all who are yours will die.

The Israelites who were present on that occasion kept the Passover and the feast of the Unleavened Bread for seven days.

Thus, although Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders in Pharaoh’s presence, the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let the Israelites go from his land.

Instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbor, and every woman her neighbor, for silver and gold articles and for clothing.

From the evening of the fourteenth day of the first month until the evening of the twenty-first day of this month you will eat unleavened bread.

This month will stand at the head of your calendar; you will reckon it the first month of the year.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses:

On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.

On the fourteenth day of the first month you shall observe the feast of Passover; for seven days unleavened bread must be eaten.

The fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of the Lord,

Tell the Israelites to celebrate the Passover at the prescribed time.

In the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of this month you shall celebrate it at its prescribed time, in accord with all its statutes and regulations.

and they did celebrate the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month during the evening twilight in the wilderness of Sinai. Just as the Lord had commanded Moses, so the Israelites did.

The Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were to take place in two days’ time. So the chief priests and the scribes were seeking a way to arrest him by treachery and put him to death.

Now the feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was drawing near,

He had him taken into custody and put in prison under the guard of four squads of four soldiers each. He intended to bring him before the people after Passover.

A man of God came to Eli and said to him: “Thus says the Lord: I went so far as to reveal myself to your father’s house when they were in Egypt as slaves to the house of Pharaoh.
