Wisdom is as good as an inheritance and profitable to those who see the sun.
As for wisdom—where can she be found? Where is the place of understanding?
The law of your mouth is more precious to me than heaps of silver and gold.
The crown of the wise is wealth; the diadem of fools is folly.
Her profit is better than profit in silver, and better than gold is her revenue;
She is more precious than corals, and no treasure of yours can compare with her.
Light is sweet! and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun.
And I saw that wisdom has as much profit over folly as light has over darkness.
Do not say: How is it that former times were better than these? For it is not out of wisdom that you ask about this.
