Since the Lord, your God, will bless you as he promised, you will lend to many nations, and borrow from none; you will rule over many nations, and none will rule over you.

He was ruler over all the kings from the River to the land of the Philistines and down to the border of Egypt.

Powerful kings once ruled in Jerusalem who controlled all West-of-Euphrates, and taxes, tributes, and tolls were paid to them.

Therefore you gave them into the power of their enemies, who oppressed them. But in the time of their oppression they would cry out to you, and you would hear them from heaven, And according to your great mercy give them saviors to deliver them from the power of their enemies.

It is good for the man gracious in lending, who conducts his affairs with justice.

The wicked one borrows but does not repay; the righteous one is generous and gives.

All day long he is gracious and lends, and his offspring become a blessing.

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.

But rather, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend expecting nothing back; then your reward will be great and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.

if you but listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and carefully observe this entire commandment which I enjoin on you today.

They will lend to you, not you to them. They will become the head, you the tail.
