“Claudius Lysias to his excellency the governor Felix, greetings.
I too have decided, after investigating everything accurately anew, to write it down in an orderly sequence for you, most excellent Theophilus,
This is the letter delivered by them: “The apostles and the presbyters, your brothers, to the brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia of Gentile origin: greetings.
Provide mounts for Paul to ride and give him safe conduct to Felix the governor.”
Then he wrote a letter with this content:
When they arrived in Caesarea they delivered the letter to the governor and presented Paul to him.

But Paul replied, “I am not mad, most excellent Festus; I am speaking words of truth and reason.
