Acts 20:16

Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus in order not to lose time in the province of Asia, for he was hurrying to be in Jerusalem, if at all possible, for the day of Pentecost. Paul’s Farewell Speech at Miletus.

But now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem. What will happen to me there I do not know,

We sailed from Philippi after the feast of Unleavened Bread, and rejoined them five days later in Troas, where we spent a week. Eutychus Restored to Life.

There we sought out the disciples and stayed for a week. They kept telling Paul through the Spirit not to embark for Jerusalem.

After many years, I came to bring alms for my nation and offerings.

I shall stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
