When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain faithful to the Lord in firmness of heart,

Then, completing their fasting and prayer, they laid hands on them and sent them off. First Mission Begins in Cyprus.

From there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work they had now accomplished.

Then the apostles and presbyters, in agreement with the whole church, decided to choose representatives and to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. The ones chosen were Judas, who was called Barsabbas, and Silas, leaders among the brothers.

Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, exhorted and strengthened the brothers with many words.

When her owners saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them to the public square before the local authorities.

Some of them were convinced and joined Paul and Silas; so, too, a great number of Greeks who were worshipers, and not a few of the prominent women.

And now I commend you to God and to that gracious word of his that can build you up and give you the inheritance among all who are consecrated.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been ineffective. Indeed, I have toiled harder than all of them; not I, however, but the grace of God [that is] with me.

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with all of you.

All who are with me send you greetings. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with all of you.
