Now David, after he had served the will of God in his lifetime, fell asleep, was gathered to his ancestors, and did see corruption.

Then those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

After that, he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.

We do not want you to be unaware, brothers, about those who have fallen asleep, so that you may not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
