We ought to thank God always for you, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith flourishes ever more, and the love of every one of you for one another grows ever greater.

The righteous holds to his way, the one with clean hands increases in strength.

As they pass through the Baca valley, they find spring water to drink. The early rain covers it with blessings.

The just shall flourish like the palm tree, shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon.

But the path of the just is like shining light, that grows in brilliance till perfect day.

But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’”

And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and every one that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.

First, I give thanks to my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is heralded throughout the world.

I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus,

We are not boasting beyond measure, in other people’s labors; yet our hope is that, as your faith increases, our influence among you may be greatly enlarged, within our proper limits,

giving thanks always and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father. Wives and Husbands.

It is right that I should think this way about all of you, because I hold you in my heart, you who are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

And this is my prayer: that your love may increase ever more and more in knowledge and every kind of perception,

and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we have for you,

But just now Timothy has returned to us from you, bringing us the good news of your faith and love, and that you always think kindly of us and long to see us as we long to see you.

What thanksgiving, then, can we render to God for you, for all the joy we feel on your account before our God?

Finally, brothers, we earnestly ask and exhort you in the Lord Jesus that, as you received from us how you should conduct yourselves to please God—and as you are conducting yourselves—you do so even more.

We ask you, brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling with him,

But we ought to give thanks to God for you always, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in truth.

Since you have purified yourselves by obedience to the truth for sincere mutual love, love one another intensely from a [pure] heart.

I think it right, as long as I am in this “tent,” to stir you up by a reminder,

But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and to the day of eternity. [Amen.]
