Therefore, I urge you to reaffirm your love for him.

so that on the contrary you should forgive and encourage him instead, or else the person may be overwhelmed by excessive pain.

For this is why I wrote, to know your proven character, whether you were obedient in everything.

For you were called for freedom, brothers. But do not use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; rather, serve one another through love.

So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith. Final Appeal.
