So the word of the Lord came to him:
Abraham named that place Yahweh-yireh; hence people today say, “On the mountain the Lord will provide.”
The word of the Lord came to Elijah:
After some time, however, the wadi ran dry, because no rain had fallen in the land.
Arise, go to Zarephath of Sidon and stay there. I have commanded a widow there to feed you.
The afflicted and the needy seek water in vain, their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the Lord, will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
Thus we may say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper, [and] I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”
