Taking the child, Elijah carried him down into the house from the upper room and gave him to his mother. Elijah said, “See! Your son is alive.”

Once some people were burying a man, when suddenly they saw such a raiding band. So they cast the man into the grave of Elisha, and everyone went off. But when the man came in contact with the bones of Elisha, he came back to life and got to his feet.

He stepped forward and touched the coffin; at this the bearers halted, and he said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”

But he took her by the hand and called to her, “Child, arise!”

And when he had said this, he cried out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

And they took the boy away alive and were immeasurably comforted. Journey to Miletus.

For this is why Christ died and came to life, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

See now that I, I alone, am he, and there is no god besides me. It is I who bring both death and life, I who inflict wounds and heal them, and from my hand no one can deliver.

Women received back their dead through resurrection. Some were tortured and would not accept deliverance, in order to obtain a better resurrection.

But after the three and a half days, a breath of life from God entered them. When they stood on their feet, great fear fell on those who saw them.

“The Lord puts to death and gives life, casts down to Sheol and brings up again.
