I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose.

I urge you, [brothers,] by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in the struggle by your prayers to God on my behalf,

I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles, in opposition to the teaching that you learned; avoid them.

For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers, by Chloe’s people, that there are rivalries among you.

First of all, I hear that when you meet as a church there are divisions among you, and to a degree I believe it;

so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same concern for one another.

for you are still of the flesh. While there is jealousy and rivalry among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving in an ordinary human way?

Therefore, I urge you, be imitators of me.

Now I myself, Paul, urge you through the gentleness and clemency of Christ, I who am humble when face to face with you, but brave toward you when absent,

Finally, brothers, rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.

For we rejoice when we are weak but you are strong. What we pray for is your improvement.

So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Working together, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

I implore you, brothers, be as I am, because I have also become as you are. You did me no wrong;

Only, conduct yourselves in a way worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that, whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear news of you, that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind struggling together for the faith of the gospel,

Only, with regard to what we have attained, continue on the same course. Wrong Conduct and Our Goal.

and to show esteem for them with special love on account of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

We ask you, brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling with him,

I charge you before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels to keep these rules without prejudice, doing nothing out of favoritism.

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power:

When these came to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead, they said to them:

Beloved, I urge you as aliens and sojourners to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against the soul.

The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ [Jesus] will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little.
