Moses himself was told: Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, with Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. You shall bow down at a distance.

Moses then went up with Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy elders of Israel,

But Nadab and Abihu died when they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord.

These are the names of Aaron’s sons: Nadab, the firstborn, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

But Nadab and Abihu died in the presence of the Lord when they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai; and they left no sons. So only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron. Levites in Place of the Firstborn.
