For the Scripturesaysto Pharaoh,"FOR THISVERYPURPOSE I RAISEDYOU UP, TO DEMONSTRATEMY POWERIN YOU, AND THAT MY NAMEMIGHT BE PROCLAIMEDTHROUGHOUTTHE WHOLEEARTH."
"For ifyou remainsilentat thistime,reliefand deliverancewill arisefor the Jewsfrom anotherplaceand you and your father'shousewill perish.And whoknowswhetheryou have not attainedroyaltyfor such a timeas this?"
For the wrathof manshall praiseYou; With a remnantof wrathYou will girdYourself.
"But, indeed,for thisreasonI have allowed you to remain,in orderto showyou My powerand in orderto proclaimMy namethrough allthe earth.
The LORDhas madeeverythingfor its own purpose,Eventhe wickedfor the dayof evil.
Wellthen,whereare your wisemen?Pleaselet them tellyou, And let them understandwhatthe LORDof hostsHas purposedagainstEgypt.
"Now,O LORDour God,deliverus from his handthat allthe kingdomsof the earthmay knowthat You alone,LORD,are God."
it is you, O king;for you have becomegreatand grownstrong,and your majestyhas becomegreatand reachedto the skyand your dominionto the endof the earth.
and I have madeYour nameknown to them, and will make it known,sothat the lovewith whichYou lovedMe may be in them, and I in them."
But whatis the divine responseto him? "I HAVE KEPTfor MyselfSEVEN THOUSANDMENWHOHAVE NOT BOWEDTHE KNEETO BAAL."
But the Scripturehas shutup everyoneundersin,sothat the promiseby faithin JesusChristmight be givento thosewho believe.
The Scripture,foreseeingthat Godwould justifythe Gentilesby faith,preached the gospel beforehandto Abraham,[saying], "ALLTHE NATIONSWILL BE BLESSEDIN YOU."
But whatdoes the Scripturesay?"CASTOUT THE BONDWOMANAND HER SON,FOR THE SONOF THE BONDWOMANSHALL NOT BE AN HEIRWITH THE SONOF THE FREE WOMAN."
