For ifAbrahamwas justifiedby works,he hassomething to boast about,but not beforeGod.
sothat, justas it is written,"LET HIM WHO BOASTS,BOASTIN THE LORD."
IfI haveto boast,I will boastof what pertains to my weakness.
and may be foundin Him, not havinga righteousnessof my ownderivedfrom [the] Law,but that which is throughfaithin Christ,the righteousnesswhich [comes] from Godon the basisof faith,
not as a resultof works,sothat noonemay boast.
But the Scripturehas shutup everyoneundersin,sothat the promiseby faithin JesusChristmight be givento thosewho believe.
For ifI preachthe gospel,I have nothingto boastof, for I am undercompulsion;for woeis me ifI do not preach the gospel.
sothat nomanmay boastbeforeGod.
We are not againcommendingourselvesto you but [are] givingyou an occasionto be proudof us, sothat you will have[an answer] for thosewho take pridein appearanceand not in heart.
Thereforein ChristJesusI havefound reason for boastingin things pertainingto God.
Then PharaohcalledAbramand said,"Whatis thisyou have doneto me? Whydid you not tellme that she was your wife?
But whatI am doingI will continueto do,sothat I may cut offopportunityfrom thosewho desirean opportunityto be regardedjustas we are in the matter about whichthey are boasting.
For whoregards you as superior?Whatdo you havethat you did not receive?And ifyou did receiveit, whydo you boastas ifyou had not receivedit?
And He saidto me, "Goin and seethe wickedabominationsthat they are committinghere."
Joshuasaidto allthe people,"Thussaysthe LORD,the Godof Israel,'From ancienttimesyour fatherslivedbeyondthe River,[namely], Terah,the fatherof Abrahamand the fatherof Nahor,and they servedothergods.
Pharaohcommanded[his] menconcerninghim; and they escortedhim away,with his wifeand allthat belonged to him.
