Do we thennullifythe Lawthroughfaith?May it neverbe! On the contrary,we establishthe Law.
It is timefor the LORDto act,[For] they have brokenYour law.
I delightto doYour will,O my God;Your Lawis withinmy heart."
The LORDwas pleasedfor His righteousness'sakeTo makethe lawgreatand glorious.
he is not to honorhis fatherorhis mother.' And [by this] you invalidatedthe wordof Godfor the sakeof your tradition.
But Jesusansweringsaidto him, "Permit[it] at this time;for in this wayit is fittingfor us to fulfillallrighteousness."Thenhe permittedHim.
"Do not thinkthat I cameto abolishthe Laworthe Prophets;I did not cometo abolishbut to fulfill.
"For I sayto you that unlessyour righteousnesssurpasses[that] of the scribesand Pharisees,you will not enterthe kingdomof heaven.
"He will comeand destroythesevine-growersand will givethe vineyardto others."Whenthey heardit, they said,"May it neverbe!"
For Christis the endof the lawfor righteousnessto everyonewho believes.
a correctorof the foolish,a teacherof the immature,havingin the Lawthe embodimentof knowledgeand of the truth,
May it neverbe! Rather,let Godbe foundtrue,thougheveryman[be found] a liar,as it is written,"THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIEDIN YOUR WORDS,AND PREVAILWHENYOU ARE JUDGED."
May it neverbe! For otherwise,howwill Godjudgethe world?
For ifthosewho are of the Laware heirs,faithis made voidand the promiseis nullified;
For I joyfully concurwith the lawof Godin the innerman,
Thanksbe to GodthroughJesusChristour Lord!So then,on the one handI myselfwith my mindam servingthe lawof God,but on the other,with my fleshthe lawof sin.
sothat the requirementof the Lawmight be fulfilledin us, who do not walkaccordingto the fleshbut accordingto the Spirit.
to thosewho are withoutlaw,as withoutlaw,though not beingwithout the lawof Godbut under the lawof Christ,sothat I might winthosewho are without law.
"For throughthe LawI diedto the Law,sothat I might liveto God.
"I do not nullifythe graceof God,for ifrighteousness[comes] throughthe Law,thenChristdiedneedlessly."
