The onewomansaid,"Oh,my lord,thiswomanand I livein the samehouse;and I gavebirthto a childwhileshe [was] in the house.
"Honoryour fatherand your mother,that your daysmay be prolongedin the landwhichthe LORDyour Godgivesyou.
My son,fearthe LORDand the king;Do not associatewith those who are givento change,
Do not withholdgoodfrom those to whom it is due,When it is in your powerto do[it].
Everyoneof you shall reverencehis motherand his father,and you shall keepMy sabbaths;I am the LORDyour God.
You shall riseup beforethe grayheadedand honorthe aged,and you shall revereyour God;I am the LORD.
He said,"Yes."And when he cameinto the house,Jesusspoke to him first,saying,"Whatdo you think,Simon?From whomdo the kingsof the earthcollectcustomsorpoll-tax,from their sonsorfrom strangers?"
They saidto Him, "Caesar's."ThenHe saidto them, "Thenrenderto Caesarthe things that are Caesar's;and to Godthe things that are God's."
And Jesussaidto them, "Renderto Caesarthe things that are Caesar's,and to Godthe things that are God's."And they were amazedat Him.
"Is it lawfulfor us to paytaxesto Caesar,ornot?"
And He saidto them, "Thenrenderto Caesarthe things that are Caesar's,and to Godthe things that are God's."
And they beganto accuseHim, saying,"We foundthis manmisleadingour nationand forbiddingto paytaxesto Caesar,and sayingthat He Himselfis Christ,a King."
[Be] devotedto oneanotherin brotherly love;give preferenceto one anotherin honor;
For becauseof thisyou alsopaytaxes,for [rulers] are servantsof God,devoting themselvesto thisverything.
Nevertheless,eachindividualamong you alsois to lovehis ownwifeeven as himself,and the wifemust [see to it] that she respectsher husband.
Slaves,be obedientto thosewho are your mastersaccordingto the flesh,with fearand trembling,in the sincerityof your heart,as to Christ;
At the same timethey alsolearn[to be] idle,as they go aroundfrom house to house;and not merelyidle,but alsogossipsand busybodies,talkingabout things not proper[to mention].
The elderswho rulewellare to be considered worthyof doublehonor,especiallythosewho work hardat preachingand teaching.
All whoare underthe yokeas slavesare to regardtheir ownmastersas worthyof allhonorsothat the nameof Godand [our] doctrinewill not be spoken against.
You husbandsin the same way,livewith [your wives] in an understanding way,as with someoneweaker,since she is a woman;and showher honoras a fellow heirof the graceof life,sothat your prayerswill not be hindered.
So Samuelcalledto the LORD,and the LORDsentthunderand rainthat day;and allthe peoplegreatlyfearedthe LORDand Samuel.
