Thenoneof the eldersanswered,sayingto me, "Thesewho are clothedin the whiterobes,whoare they, and wherehave they comefrom?"
He said,"Hagar,Sarai'smaid,wherehave you comefrom and whereare you going?"And she said,"I am fleeingfrom the presenceof my mistressSarai."
"I approachedoneof those who were standingby and began askinghim the exactmeaningof allthis.So he toldme and madeknownto me the interpretationof these things:
ThenJesuscriedout in the temple,teachingand saying,"You bothknow Me and knowwhereI amfrom; and I have not comeof Myself,but He who sentMe is true,whomyou do not know.
But when Petersaw[this], he repliedto the people,"Menof Israel,whyare you amazedat this,orwhydo you gazeat us, as ifby our ownpowerorpietywe had madehim walk?
But you havea fewpeoplein Sardiswhohave not soiledtheir garments;and they will walkwith Me in white,for they are worthy.
the twenty-fourelderswill fall downbeforeHim who sitson the throne,and will worshipHim who livesforeverand ever,and will casttheir crownsbeforethe throne,saying,
Aroundthe throne[were] twenty-fourthrones;and upon the thrones[I saw] twenty-fourelderssitting,clothedin whitegarments,and goldencrownson their heads.
ThenI looked,and I heardthe voiceof manyangelsaroundthe throneand the living creaturesand the elders;and the numberof them was myriadsof myriads,and thousandsof thousands,
and oneof the elderssaidto me, "Stopweeping;behold,the Lionthat is from the tribeof Judah,the Rootof David,has overcomeso as to openthe bookand its sevenseals."
Afterthese thingsI looked,and behold,a greatmultitudewhichno onecouldcount,from everynationand [all] tribesand peoplesand tongues,standingbeforethe throneand beforethe Lamb,clothedin whiterobes,and palm branches[were] in their hands;
Then the womancameand toldher husband,saying,"A manof Godcameto me and his appearancewas like the appearanceof the angelof God,veryawesome.And I did not askhim wherehe [came] from, nordid he tellme his name.
