for he was lookingfor the citywhichhasfoundations,whosearchitectand builderis God.
having been builton the foundationof the apostlesand prophets,ChristJesusHimselfbeingthe corner[stone],
"O afflictedone,storm-tossed,[and] not comforted,Behold,I will setyour stonesin antimony,And your foundationsI will layin sapphires.
"Rejoiceoverher, O heaven,and you saintsand apostlesand prophets,becauseGodhas pronouncedjudgmentfor you againsther."
But you, beloved,ought to rememberthe wordsthat were spoken beforehandby the apostlesof our LordJesusChrist,
whichin othergenerationswas not made knownto the sonsof men,as it has nowbeen revealedto His holyapostlesand prophetsin the Spirit;
"I alsosayto you that you are Peter,and upon thisrockI will buildMy church;and the gatesof Hadeswill not overpowerit.
And He gavesome[as] apostles,and some[as] prophets,and some[as] evangelists,and some[as] pastorsand teachers,
and recognizingthe gracethat had been givento me, Jamesand Cephasand John,who were reputedto be pillars,gaveto me and Barnabasthe right handof fellowship,sothat we [might] [go] to the Gentilesand they to the circumcised.
And they drewlotsfor them, and the lotfellto Matthias;and he was addedto the elevenapostles.
[There were] threegateson the eastand threegateson the northand threegateson the southand threegateson the west.
