The LORDsaysto my Lord:"Sitat My righthandUntilI makeYour enemiesa footstoolfor Your feet."
Then KingDavidroseto his feetand said,"Listento me, my brethrenand my people;I [had] intendedto builda permanenthomefor the arkof the covenantof the LORDand for the footstoolof our God.So I had madepreparationsto build[it].
Let thisbe the rewardof my accusersfrom the LORD,And of those who speakevilagainstmy soul.
O LORD,our Lord,Howmajesticis Your namein allthe earth,Whohave displayedYour splendorabovethe heavens!
You make him to ruleover the worksof Your hands;You have putallthingsunderhis feet,
"Yes, it is He who will buildthe templeof the LORD,and He who will bearthe honorand sitand ruleon His throne.Thus, He will be a prieston His throne,and the counselof peacewill be betweenthe twooffices."'
Jesussaidto him, "You have saidit [yourself]; neverthelessI tellyou, hereafteryou will seeTHE SONOF MANSITTINGAT THE RIGHT HANDOF POWER,and COMINGON THE CLOUDSOF HEAVEN."
So then,when the LordJesushad spokento them, He was receivedup into heavenand sat downat the right handof God.
And He withdrewfrom them abouta stone'sthrow,and He kneltdownand [began] to pray,
For He mustreignuntilHe has putallHis enemiesunderHis feet.
Thereforeifyou have been raisedup with Christ,keep seekingthe things above,whereChristis, seatedat the right handof God.
But to whichof the angelshas He eversaid,"SITAT MY RIGHT HAND,UNTILI MAKEYOUR ENEMIESA FOOTSTOOLFOR YOUR FEET"?
And He is the radianceof His gloryand the exact representationof His nature,and upholdsall thingsby the wordof His power.When He had madepurificationof sins,He sat downat the right handof the Majestyon high,
fixing our eyeson Jesus,the authorand perfecterof faith,whofor the joyset beforeHim enduredthe cross,despisingthe shame,and has sat downat the right handof the throneof God.
Nowthe main pointin what has been said[is this]: we havesucha high priest,whohas taken His seatat the right handof the throneof the Majestyin the heavens,
whois at the right handof God,having goneinto heaven,after angelsand authoritiesand powershad been subjectedto Him.
