The wisdomof the sensibleis to understandhis way,But the foolishnessof foolsis deceit.
Sothendo not be foolish,but understandwhatthe willof the Lordis.
But evilmenand impostorswill proceed[from bad] to worse,deceivingand being deceived.
Whoamongyou is wiseand understanding?Let him showby his goodbehaviorhis deedsin the gentlenessof wisdom.
that, in referenceto your formermanner of life,you lay asidethe oldself,which is being corruptedin accordancewith the lustsof deceit,
The wickedearnsdeceptivewages,But he who sowsrighteousness[gets] a true reward.
"I walkin the wayof righteousness,In the midstof the pathsof justice,
Thenyou will discernrighteousnessand justiceAnd equity[and] everygoodcourse.
Your handsmademe and fashionedme; Giveme understanding,that I may learnYour commandments.
Ohthat my waysmay be establishedTo keepYour statutes!
The fearof the LORDis the beginningof wisdom;A goodunderstandinghave allthose who do[His commandments]; His praiseenduresforever.
"Liftup your eyesand seeThose comingfrom the north.Whereis the flockthat was givenyou, Your beautifulsheep?

Follyis joyto him wholackssense,But a manof understandingwalksstraight.
The thoughtsof the righteousare just,[But] the counselsof the wickedare deceitful.
And I sawthat wisdomexcelsfollyas lightexcelsdarkness.
For thereis nolastingremembranceof the wiseman[as] with the fool,inasmuchas [in] the comingdaysallwill be forgotten.And howthe wisemanand the foolalikedie!
