In the wayof righteousnessis life,And in [its] pathwaythere is nodeath.
The wagesof the righteousis life,The incomeof the wicked,punishment.
Ill-gottengainsdo not profit,But righteousnessdeliversfrom death.
He whois steadfastin righteousness[will attain] to life,And he who pursuesevil[will bring about] his own death.
"For he who findsme findslifeAnd obtainsfavorfrom the LORD.
For by me your dayswill be multiplied,And yearsof lifewill be addedto you.
"You shall also sayto thispeople,'Thussaysthe LORD,"Behold,I setbeforeyou the wayof lifeand the wayof death.
[if] he walksin My statutesand My ordinancesso as to dealfaithfully--he is righteous[and] will surelylive,"declaresthe LordGOD.
sothat, as sinreignedin death,evensogracewould reignthroughrighteousnessto eternallifethroughJesusChristour Lord.
"See,I have setbeforeyou todaylifeand prosperity,and deathand adversity;
"I callheavenand earthto witnessagainst you today,that I have setbeforeyou lifeand death,the blessingand the curse.So chooselifein orderthat you may live,you and your descendants,
he saidto them, "Taketo your heartallthe wordswith whichI am warningyou today,whichyou shall commandyour sonsto observecarefully,[even] allthe wordsof thislaw.
Ifyou knowthat He is righteous,you knowthat everyonealsowho practicesrighteousnessis bornof Him.
Little children,make sure no onedeceivesyou; the one who practicesrighteousnessis righteous,justas He is righteous;
Beloved,do not imitatewhat is evil,but what is good.The one who does goodis of God;the one who does evilhas not seenGod.
