By the blessingof the uprighta cityis exalted,But by the mouthof the wickedit is torndown.

When it goes wellwith the righteous,the cityrejoices,And when the wickedperish,there is joyfulshouting.
He who despiseshis neighborlackssense,But a manof understandingkeepssilent.
Righteousnessexaltsa nation,But sinis a disgraceto [any] people.
By the transgressionof a landmanyare its princes,But by a manof understanding[and] knowledge,soit endures.
Scornersseta cityaflame,But wisementurnawayanger.
But there was foundin it a poorwisemanand he deliveredthe cityby his wisdom.Yet noonerememberedthat poorman.
And the tongueis a fire,the [very] worldof iniquity;the tongueis setamongour membersas that which defilesthe entirebody,and setson firethe courseof [our] life,and is set on fireby hell.
