"Commandthe sonsof Israeland sayto them, 'Whenyou enterthe landof Canaan,thisis the landthat shall fallto you as an inheritance,[even the] landof Canaanaccording to its borders.
The territoryof the Canaaniteextendedfrom Sidonas you gotoward Gerar,as faras Gaza;as you gotoward Sodomand Gomorrahand Admahand Zeboiim,as faras Lasha.
"I will giveto you and to your descendantsafteryou, the landof your sojournings,allthe landof Canaan,for an everlastingpossession;and I will be their God."
Saying,"To you I will givethe landof CanaanAs the portionof your inheritance,"
"I will fixyour boundaryfrom the RedSeato the seaof the Philistines,and from the wildernessto the River[Euphrates]; for I will deliverthe inhabitantsof the landinto your hand,and you will drivethem out beforeyou.
"Then I said,'HowI would setyou among My sonsAnd giveyou a pleasantland,The mostbeautifulinheritanceof the nations!'And I said,'You shall callMe, My Father,And not turnawayfrom followingMe.'
Thussaysthe LordGOD,"This[shall be] the boundaryby whichyou shall dividethe landfor an inheritanceamong the twelvetribesof Israel;Joseph[shall have] twoportions.
"You shall divideit for an inheritance,eachoneequally with the other;for I sworeto giveit to your forefathers,and thislandshall fallto you as an inheritance.
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
and He madefrom one[man] everynationof mankindto liveon allthe faceof the earth,having determined[their] appointedtimesand the boundariesof their habitation,
to opentheir eyesso that they may turnfrom darknessto lightand from the dominionof Satanto God,that they may receiveforgivenessof sinsand an inheritanceamongthosewho have been sanctifiedby faithin Me.'
whois given as a pledgeof our inheritance,with a viewto the redemptionof [God's own] possession,to the praiseof His glory.
[I pray that] the eyesof your heartmay be enlightened,sothat you will knowwhatis the hopeof His calling,whatare the richesof the gloryof His inheritancein the saints,
So Joshuatookthe wholeland,according to allthat the LORDhad spokento Moses,and Joshuagaveit for an inheritanceto Israelaccording to their divisionsby their tribes.Thus the landhadrestfrom war.
Now Joshuawas old[and] advancedin yearswhen the LORDsaidto him, "You are old[and] advancedin years,and verymuchof the landremainsto be possessed.
So the LORDgaveIsraelallthe landwhichHe had swornto giveto their fathers,and they possessedit and livedin it.
