Now the dutiesof the sonsof Gershonin the tentof meeting[involved] the tabernacleand the tent,its covering,and the screenfor the doorwayof the tentof meeting,
Thus they are to keepchargeof the tentof meeting,and chargeof the holyplace, and chargeof the sonsof Aarontheir relatives,for the serviceof the houseof the LORD.
And Hezekiahappointedthe divisionsof the priestsand the Levitesby their divisions,eachaccordingto his service,[both] the priestsand the Levites,for burntofferingsand for peaceofferings,to ministerand to givethanksand to praisein the gatesof the campof the LORD.
"According to allthat I am going to showyou, [as] the patternof the tabernacleand the patternof allits furniture,just soyou shall construct[it].
He spreadthe tentoverthe tabernacleand putthe coveringof the tenton topof it, justas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
Then he setup the veilfor the doorwayof the tabernacle.
"But you shall appointthe Levitesoverthe tabernacleof the testimony,and overallits furnishingsand overallthat belongs to it. They shall carrythe tabernacleand allits furnishings,and they shall takecareof it; they shall also camparoundthe tabernacle.
Then the tabernaclewas takendown;and the sonsof Gershonand the sonsof Merari,who were carryingthe tabernacle,setout.
and the leaderof the fathers'householdsof the Gershonites[was] Eliasaphthe sonof Lael.
"They shall performthe dutiesfor him and for the wholecongregationbeforethe tentof meeting,to dothe serviceof the tabernacle.
Twocartsand fouroxenhe gaveto the sonsof Gershon,accordingto their service,
"[It is] likea manaway on a journey,[who] upon leavinghis houseand puttinghis slavesin charge,[assigning] to each onehis task,alsocommandedthe doorkeeperto stay on the alert.
Sayto Archippus,"Take heedto the ministrywhichyou have receivedin the Lord,that you may fulfillit."
ThiscommandI entrustto you, Timothy,[my] son,in accordancewith the propheciespreviously madeconcerningyou, that by them you fightthe goodfight,
